High-Tech Hill technology park ready for further expansion as required power capacity is secured

The High-Tech Hill technology park, located in Vilnius’ Liepkalnis district, now has access to the power capacity required for its expansion. Litgrid, the Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator, has completed the construction of the Kuprioniškės transformer substation and connected it to the electricity transmission grid.

The power supply to the technology park was originally scheduled to be secured by the end of August 2027, but the project was completed almost a year ahead of schedule, in September 2026. The new infrastructure will meet High-Tech Hill’s power demand of up to 58 MW and provide additional capacity for the park’s further expansion.

“Teltonika grows roughly tenfold every ten years, so by 2030 we plan to exceed one billion euros in annual revenue and manufacture more than 30 million electronic products per year in Lithuania. Production on this scale requires reliable energy infrastructure, which even a highly ambitious company cannot create on its own. A new 110 kV switchyard, two power cable lines and two 63 MVA power transformers have been installed at the Kuprioniškės transformer substation. The project was implemented by Litgrid and ESO together with contractors and other partners.

Construction of the High-Tech Hill technology park, which is planned to comprise 11 production and administrative buildings, began in autumn 2023. Four factories have already opened and are currently operating.
